NIDOA Membership Requirements

A person is eligible for membership if such a person:

• Is a Nigerian national or married to a Nigerian national or otherwise qualifies for Nigerian Citizenship under the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
• ·A person duly applies to the Board of Directors to become a member of the organization
• The Board of Directors finds such a person to be of good moral character consistent with the values and principles of the organization and approves the membership application of such a person.

Diaspora community

• To promote the spirit of patriotism amongst Nigerians living in the Americas and encourage their participation in the affairs of Nigeria.

Promote Nigeria

• Promote, support and encourage global trade awareness and moral consciousness that promote positive business climate between Nigeria and the Americas.

Provide information sharing

• To establish and maintain close liaison with the Nigerian government and the different governments of countries in the Americas and other representative bodies having objectives similar in whole or in part to NIDO Americas.

Provide cooperation and guidance

• To serve as advisers and partners to the Nigerian government and other corporate bodies in the Americas on specific matters of business, social, economic and cultural initiatives in the interest of Nigerians and Nigeria.
